The Hall of the Dogo Argentino

Dogo Argentino

Bred by a surgeon, proven against boar and puma, devoted to the family it runs home to — Argentina’s white guardian.

The Origin

A breed that began as a blueprint

The Dogo Argentino is the only breed here that began as a blueprint. In 1928, in Córdoba, Argentina, the surgeon Dr. Antonio Nores Martínez wrote a standard for a dog that did not yet exist: white, fearless, powerful enough to hold wild boar and puma, and gentle enough to live among children.

He built it deliberately — from the old Córdoba fighting dog crossed with great European working breeds — selecting each generation for courage in the hunt and nobility in the home. After his death, his brother Agustín carried the work forward until the world took notice.

In 1973 the Dogo Argentino became the first Argentine breed recognized by the FCI — a national monument with a heartbeat, and to this day the country’s proudest export on four legs.

The Standard

What defines the breed
Estructura Structure

An athlete before a mastiff — deep chest, iron loin, and the stride of a dog bred to run down its quarry.

El Manto Blanco The White Coat

Pure white by design — visible to the hunter across the field, unmistakable to everyone else.

Temple Temperament

Courage without noise. A dog that meets pressure with stillness and its family with open devotion.

La Caza The Work

Born for the hunt, kept for the guard — tireless drive that asks for structure and repays it completely.

III. The Registry

A Blueprint, Still Honored

Every Royal Blood Dogo Argentino carries CKU/FCI registration, completes hip, elbow, and heart clearances before any breeding is planned, and leaves with a full international export pedigree. Nores Martínez began with a document; so does every placement from this hall.

The Royal Blood Line

The white line of the estate

Led by Max, the Royal Blood white line is selected the estate’s only way: size, structure, temperament, and health weighed together, never traded against each other. The result is a Dogo that honors its blueprint — formidable in the field, unshakable at home.

Size

Substance on an athlete’s frame — bigger where it counts, still built for the long run.

Structure

The blueprint honored — deep chest, iron loin, and the white coat carried over correct working conformation.

Temperament

Courage without noise — formidable in the field, unshakable beside the children.

Health

Hips, elbows, and heart cleared before any litter is planned — proof before promises, every generation.

The dogs of the line — each with registration, health clearances, and export pedigree.
